Since its initiation in 2008, volunteers from all over the country as well as residents of New Orleans have participated in NOLA Green Roots’ activities and programs. Working together they have helped NOLA Green Roots achieve major milestones in improving access to fresh produce.

Weekly Volunteer Program

We are currently in need of volunteers Tuesdays and Thursday between 8:30 and 11:30am. These volunteers will help bring fresh produce to New Orleans residents through their work with our garden in Gentilly and will also learn valuable gardening knowledge in the process.

When: Tuesdays and Thursday between 8:30 and 11:30am

Where: 11201 Old Gentilly Road

1 to 5: $15 Donation Per Individual
6 to 15: $10 Donation Per Individual
