Cooking Demonstrations

NOLA Green Roots hosts the best local chefs in our garden for cooking demonstrations in real-time. The chefs show participants how to cook what we grow from collared greens to swiss chard. The chefs have full access to our covered deck to cook fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and eggs taken straight from the garden. The chefs have a microphone through which they call out what ingredient they need from which box. The culinary students/dinner guests pick the ingredients straight from the plant.

This initiative is designed to bring our community together around sustainable food consumption, showcase our valued restaurant members and celebrate our amazing good fortune to live in this city full of food magicians like our chef partners.
